"Every day in the office was different, and the variety of projects that I had was a true testament to that. To name only a couple, I was tasked to give suggestions of improvements to an oncology lab based on my observations, as well as to create an internal employee survey measuring employee satisfaction and engagement. I was working with real-time data, and important information that was of great use to my preceptors. It was a bit intimidating, determining the best way to utilize it all. Overall, I have come to learn that there is definitely a career for me in healthcare, regardless of what path I will ultimately decide to take"Submit your resume
Stephanie Chi, Cornell University
"The HMP program has provided me with insight on some of the obstacles that hospitals face on a day-to-day basis coupled with hands-on experience to go out and address some of these issues. However, the people are what makes this program stand out from the rest. The professionalism and compassion with which every single person works is an inspiration. This program truly embodies the fact that every role, every person, and every moment truly does matter.”Submit your resume

This is an internship where you come in with excitement and curiosity, and you come away with real knowledge, genuine relationships, and valuable work product. It is a wonderful stepping stone into the world of healthcare and your future career."Submit your resume
Carson Massey, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
"One of the biggest things I learned this summer is [as an HMP intern] is that Northwell Health is a great environment to grow in. Not only have I worked on projects that were exciting and took me out of my comfort zone, but I was also given the tools to succeed as an administrator. I started out very unsure of myself working in a healthcare environment, but through working on team projects and learning from my mentors I became more confident in my ability to affect real change in the hospital. Every individual and their contributions to the hospital are highly valued. ."Submit your resume
Brynn Polgrean, Davidson College
"My eight weeks with Northwell have been filled with incredible opportunities and many lessons learned. Whether I was observing an open heart surgery, calculating the full capacity of an MRI suite, or presenting a financial statement to a senior analyst, I felt confident in my new abilities and relished the opportunity to ask questions and learn from the people around me. Participating in the Healthcare Management Program at Northwell has given me a profound glimpse into the inner workings of the healthcare industry, and taught me many valuable skills that I will use moving forward.
